Gear change and tune

Hello,

I just purchased a U7145 Predator along with a C+L CAI.I am intending on changing the rear gear from 3.31 to 3.73.

My question is will the tune see the axle ratio parameter change and adjust the tune itself or must I remove the tune,adjust the axle ratio parameter and reinstall the tune?

Vehicle is a 2007 Mustang GT

I don't work for Diablosport, but I have the U7140 for my 06 Mustang GT and I'm sure these are the same steps...

First, you do not have to uninstall the tune.
After installing your gears, you will simply need to retune your car with some changes (you will actually be overwriting the last tune you installed).

Go to Performance Tune. Select the Octane tune you are running. The Predator will show two options...1 is Install tune...2 is Modify tune...Select modify tune.

Go down through the options until you see Axle Ratio..select it. Change the ratio accordingly..3.7x (it will not be exactly 3.73, but that is ok). Push the center button to select the ratio, and it will tell you if you made the change.

Push Esc until you are back to the Install tune/Modify tune screen...Install the tune.

If you actually made the change to the tune, it will show a message stating you are about to install a tune with changes...install and drive.
