buying a used predator

I'm looking at buying a used predator,do you reprogram these so i can use it in my truck?

It is a U7198 and my truck is an 01 gm 6.0 l.

There are several factors involved as to whether or not we can unlock it if it is locked.
Unfortunately, if you cannot access the tool before purchasing it, there is no real way to know if it is locked or not.
We do not recommend purchasing used tools from outside sources (Ebay) as you never know what you will get until it arrives at your doorstep.

thanks for the reply Mike,
The tuner I am looking at is not from ebay, it is from a private sale.The owner has sold the truck.Not sure why he wouldn't have put the stock tune back in.

Anyways, are there any specific questions i can ask him before i buy it to tell if it can be unlocked.
