I also don't recall any surging with R07 release. Maybe the surging has something to do with the "tune on the fly" feature. I personally could do without that feature, but I do need the tire size adjustment. :D

Since I installed the 12 update I have the problems. I have mine set on normal perfomance(non stacker) with the puck turned off. Truck has S&B airbox, muffler delete,315's. Since reading of the same problem with update 14 I have not installed it yet.

Can we get a release based off of R07 with the idle fix and the idle up/tire size adjustment to test?

Thanks!

If yall are saying that the trucks did not do this before the revision 12 update, a new revision that is the same as revision 7 with the rough-idle/idle-up/tire size adjustment would be perfect. Maybe Johan can help us out here. I took off the Predator and I am just running the Puck as of now. I would love to put the Predator back on though; the power is unbelievable and so much smoother than stock or with the Puck alone.

That would work great for me. Knowing that I could do tire adjustment was a big reason to go with the Predator. I had good luck with my Predator/CMR tune on my 03 cobra.

Same here, I bought the predator to correct my speedo. The extra power will be a bonus, if we ever get this figured out.

Yep, I didn't have any issues prior to the r12 update. I didn't go on any long trips or anything but probably had 500 or so miles on it before I changed to r12. But then again, I can get mine to do it at least once in the first 10 miles quite a bit. Tire size is a nice option, but if this is jacking up my drivetrain, get me back to r7 till you figure it out!

Hmmm, the plot thickens, let me see if i can come up with a test update for you guys to try that will not have the tune on the fly but with the new tunes applied.Should not be a biggie to get done.
Anyone that would like to try it shoot me an e-mail and as soon as i get it done i will e-mail you the test update.

Johan,
I had version R07 and went to the R14 version and I am getting the cut out. Not as bad as some of you. I did get it today going into work that was pretty bad. When I had the R07 I had the rough idle but not the cut out. I live in South Florida so I can get with you guys and try to find the problem. Let me know what is involved in capturing the problem. Thanks, David

I should have an update by tomorrow to check if it is the tune on the fly or not. Got stuck with Hemi all day today on the dyno.

Update is taking a little longer than expected. One thing we could try is to run the R14 on the stock tune setting and see if it surges if anyone would like to check that out that will help.

Been running just the puck, stock backup on the predator for 4 days now (only 60 or so miles) no hiccup yet. Usually it would do it once each trip to town 10 miles. Please get er done... the puck is sort of boring after experiencing the predator!

Haha. Yeah I definately agree there. I'm sure they will have a tune finished before long. I have talked to a guy by the name of Gary in tech support and I know that Johan is working on this thing constantly. He's doing his best and hopefully there will be something within the next few days. At least they aren't abandoning us like some other companies I know of.

On a side note... I want to commend Johan, Gary, and the whole Diablo Sport team. I have talked with them and they are doing their best to resolve these issues. These days it's kind of hard to find a company that tries to work with the consumer that is having issues. In most cases the manufacturer wants to point fingers at other manufacturer's items that are on the same truck (This can be taken to a much wider perspective as well). Companies such as Diablo Sport are the ones (and some of the only ones for that matter) that I enjoy doing business with. It's a business like this that I will gladly shell out a few more $$$ to do business with simply because they stand behind their products and have excellent customer service. Kudos Diablo Sport. Keep up the great work!
