U7165 latest update surging badly

Ford Excursion 2004 6.0l

U7165 V.9r05 serial # 7f000953

I had the V.9r04 and it was surginng badly with the 100hp tune only so I updated it to the V.9r05 and it is ding the exact same thing in 100 hp tune. Haven't tried the 60 hp yet on the new tune.

It is basicly cutting out like lack of fuel is the best way I can describe it like you are riding with someone that is driving a stick shift for the first time in their life. Makes ya feel like a milk shake!!

Can you help me with this please?? any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to specify your calid... got to options>troublshooting>showcalid.

I did try the u7165_pcm_6_0-9r06.crom that you posted thanks! But it did the exact same thing. It is cutting out bad at hard excelleration instantly and then it is fine until 0-1/4 throttle, it is if I am just pumping the gas pedal on and off. Best I can describe it I hope that helps!

Thanks again for your help also I meant to ask about the tire size adjustment all I see in the menu when I hit modify tune is speed limit am i looking in the wrong place?

ok I just tried it the 07 rev and no dice it was better at hard excelleration but still real bad at just cruise speed no matter how fast i hold it steady at one speed it is just cutting in and out like pumping the gas its just cutting out like its starving for fuel intermitantly. give it gas its fine b ack off its starts to gag again 60 hp runs like a charm like the others did.

Is it from being stock other than the programmer?? cant hadle it?? no engine check light or anything !

You probably need to check your filters.... Because the ICP map is very linear now and there's no reason for it to be surging like it is.

I just checked the filter a few weeks ago and it seemed pretty clean for a stock filter. Not sure what else to do and fuel filters were replaced about 12000 miles ago think I need to change fuel filters again?
