2003 cal id updated (2005 6.0) not working cal id ?????

I just got my 2003 F350 6.0 6sp manual back from the dealer for some warranty work. a couple of days ago. oil pump broke and went through the aluminum housing not good. they fixed it fine, and it's running good. but when i plug the preditor in to put the tune back in on the screen it says "not supported" the cal id is
'ARZ2AH0'
VXAPZ.HEX
TQAU0QZ.HEX
which up date is for the my cal id. thanks for your time...Frank

This is a U7165 but you need to update it. r76 is not the latest software version for your truck. Please go to the downloads section of the website and update the predator and this issue will go away.

i tried to update my predator and it says

cannot load pcm_6_0
application into
power_6_0 tool

I also tried to load my buddies to the updated version and it says the same thing. he has the same 2005 6.0 predator diesel. thanks for your time.

The reason you were not able to update the tool correctly was because you need to load r10 first then load in the most current revision on the predator.

i did what you said and read the instructions and installed the r84 that worked fine. but when i load the r10 version it says
This tool was
improperly upgraded
Please downgrade to
the pervious version.
you may unplug the predator.

so i did reloaded the r84. then loaded the r10 and the same thing. i even tried to load the r17 without the r10 as you know that didn't work. What's next???????????????????????

correction i tried to up date my tuner and everything worked fine r84 then r10 then r17 worked good. in the last post that was my buddies that wouldn't work. if he didn't restore the orginal backup correctly would that cause the problem.....???

Yes, the tool that says it was improperly updated was not restored properly.
He'll need to give us a call here with the tool powered up in the truck.

hello again i had a chance to install the 100 hp tune in my truck and now i have a problem. it does not have a smooth accelaration untill about 2000 rpm. it kinda of bucks (surges) it acutually pretty bad around 1500 rpm. it's not the trans, it'a a manual. also it doesn't have nearly the power as it did with the r76 version. it use to make 38 pounds of boost and now only 28. nothing else is different on my truck except the reflash from ford. i put the 60 hp tune in for it was dangerous with the 100 from breaking the tires loose in the wet with the surging problem. 60 is fine smooth acceleration all the way up. is there way to make the r76 power with the updated cal id? i really liked the way the power came on around 2000 rpm. it was a monster at 2000 up.

Can i get a calibration id from your truck. Please with the predator plugged into the truck go to OPTIONS/TROUBLESHOOTING/SHOW CALID. I need this to verify which tune is in your truck.

still waiting for answer. i tried a buddies Bully Dog power pup on mine and it works fine lots of power. if you don't have a fix just let me know. i would like to have some info that's all.

hey frank, sorry to cut in. i'm a customer just like you. i've been having just about the same problem. and DS always drops the ball. at this point i'm giving these people 10 days to come up with a solution not an answer. this has been an on going problem for about 4 months. i'm not telling you that there product is bad. it just seems that they don't care about the 6.0s. i wish you the best of luck. archie
