Carring case for Predator

Post by rletzgus »

Hello,

How about making a "carrying case" or protector for Predator? I paid $400 fo the programmer and have to put it in the box to store it and take it out to program, my luck it would get dropped and kicked !@!@#.

Good suggestion. I'd love to have a case so I can toss the box it came in.

Carrying case for Predator

I think a case would be great. My box is about ready to self destruct, sliding around in the back of my truck!!

I need something like that. My Predator stays in the truck, in the rear door pocket, so the face gets scratched up. (Going to have to get it replaced again!)

Thought about getting some fleece-type material from Wallyworld, and making a bag for it, kinda like a Crown Royal bag..

I ended up getting a pistol bag for a long barrel revolver. Works great... but I need to find a better place to put it. I keep it under my center console. I got pulled over the other day, the cop saw it and started flipping out. I told him it was just a tuner. He had me hand him the bag VERY slowly. I did, he opened it, laughed, and said that was a good idea but to put it somewhere else....

Yea, right, don't keep a pistol case out in view! Good post, I would imagine the cop really went crazy. In the Chrysler we have a little compartment under the trunk bottom cover, that keeps it handy when I need it while protecting it while in motion.

Did you get a ticket or did the humor of finding the tuner make a new friend?

Actually, I think I might have made a sale.... He asked me a bunch of questions about it, what I thought about it... etc etc... Asked me where to get one and I gave him the # to a local speed shop that deals with them.

Would be interesting if Diablosport could get some of these cases, and then have the Diablosport logo embroidered on to the front. Hmmm, I wonder if I could get someone to do that for me...

I use an old CD carry case. I think it was one that held 32 (maybe 64) discs in a 1 wide, 2 tall format. Just yanked out the CD portion, plus there is room for the USB/serial cable in there.
