Virtual Predator.
It would be very handy to have a virtual Predator application running on your laptop or desktop PC to be able to tweak settings and tunes then save them as a Predator file to upload to the Predator tool via the serial port at a later time. Sitting in a hot car with the engine off making changes is not ideal.

RE: Virtual Predator.
Tie it into the Predator's serial number or the VIN of the saved stock tune.

Not to be gravediggiing here, but I really liked my idea of a end users version of CMR. It is only tied to your Predator SN, so you can only use it for yourself and no one else.
I think Harley Davidson has a good idea with their SERT. You have a module that plugs into the data port (which is just a standard J-something data bus adapter). Once it is run on your bike, it is married to that PCM for life. Nothing can change it. Now you can use the software to make changes to the PCM. That software comes with the module. You can use your software to program someone else's module, but they have to have their own module married to their bike for it to work. The only way to trade off the module is to sell it AND the PCM as a matched pair.

The whole computer program on your pc or laptop is what hp tuners offers although they have not been able to crack the dodge computer all the way yet but when they do the options are unlimited to you and you can save ur stock tune and as many other tunes as you would like and it is only a little bit more expensive then the pred

Up this post, I think this is good idea.
A extended Predator program with nive GUI and no limit in adding menu or functions.
Ross Tech have a program free to download for VAG car (I've it for precedent car) and the cable (USB connect) hold a chip which unlock program. No original cables, not access program.
Predator could be keep in glove box and I like it ! But for sometimes, having possibility of computer tuning and logging could be great !

RE: Virtual Predator.
Instead of all of that, why not offer adjustments via user rather than an expensive trip to and at a dyno after already paying almost 500 dollars for a unit and cable. If you're so concerned with the liability create a user friendly GUI that allows simple adjustments to be made but a disclaimer that waives responsibility when parameters are too wildly modified.
