Questiong about updating my u7135
Okay i hope im not beating a dead horse.
MY predator is at the a very OLD R18 revision level at the moment. I have a 2006 Charger and i have been happy with the results up to this point. should i update my programmer to the new 9R14 just to be up to date? also if i go up to the newest REV is the a way for me to go back to the one i have now if i have any issues with the higher rev???
reading the revision notes i found this "NOTE: 07 5.7L's will require you to do a calibration update after updating to this revision)" for the R19 revision. what does this mean to me when i update?

No you cannot go back if you update if you need to do a Calibration update. I know the 07s have a Cal update, but I'm not sure about 06. I think there was an update for them, just not sure when.
Do the update. You won't want to go back.

Give tech support a ring. If you put the car back to stock, you should be good to go. Not sure why you are getting an error.

here an update for you i went to my car made sure i was running the stock program (i was) and i kept trying the 9r14 update and still got the same error. i decided to try the 9r12 and that worked just fine updating to the programmer. i havent tried it on my car yet as its winter here and no need for the power especially on the snow. so my programmer just must not like the 9r14 or something

9r14 only works on newer Predators.
The reason you could not get a copy of the backup out was because you did not have one in there due to the fact that you had restored the backup.

My Predator 7135 is 3 months old, my car is 05 magnum RT. I just downloaded rev 15 and now I can't tune my car. It copied my stock setting but I can't get any tunes to load they all fail. Even the stock tune cn't load. What's up with this. I was hoping that on this reve it could retain tire and wheel size as on the other revs it just says nothing entered just after I entered it, Tried it at least 20 times
Any help?
thanks

Even worse I get this message "the last tune did not finish. The original will be restored" so I press conitnue I press Ok Says "turn the car" I do so then have to press cancel to continue after which it says "turn the car on" I do so then have to press cancel tio continue after which it give me this "the last tune did not finish." So I press continue I reboot and start and I get this message "the last tune did not finish. The original will be restored" so I try no and I get this message "the last tune did not finish. The original will be restored". So I connect it to my computer to down load the stock code and chnage the frirmware and I get this message "the last tune did not finish. The original will be restored" What the hell?

If you have an aftermarket car alarm? disconnect the power to the alarm at the battery.

You aren't trying to START the car, are you? Just turn the key to ON, not START.

Re: RE: 2006 charger u7135 updating issue
I'm having a similar situation, my Predator errors out when trying to upload / save the latest CROM files. I spoke with tech support moments ago, and ir12 is the latest rev my very early Predator will support (I have one of the very first U7135's shipped).mikel wrote:9r14 only works on newer Predators.
I have a thread going, since there was no indication that I was trying to upload a file that would never work - it loaded the CROM file almost to the end before the Predator errored out with "Unable to save image", the upon reboot "The application is missing or corrupt". Not nice! 9r12 loaded okay into the Predator, I have yet to apply it to my car. It's in the parking lot atm, I think I'll try that when it's safely tucked away in my garage. Towing can be more casual then
