U7193 2005 Chevy Silverado tunes and WOTs

According to the DSLogRedux I am unable to log certain parameters with my Class 2 tool (U7193). I can only analyze cruise data. Is there going to be an update sometime when I can analyze more data and possibly even log WOT's?

Another question I have is how would I get Diablo Sport to create a tune for me. I currently am running the 87 Octane tune but am curious about using the Diablo Tune or even a custom tune. What tune should be set (stock or 87 octane tune), what RPM should I log at and what parameters should I log? Thanks.

nope, no update... cuz the older tools do not all have certain parameters needed, like AFR... AFR is the critical parameter that's needed when looking at WOT data...

the older tools do not have that parameter available to log....

although, SOME of the older ones do (7198's I think) if you log with a laptop and the dataviewer app... but that's the only one and only way to get it.


what do you think you need a custom tune for?? what mods do you have on your truck?? the diablo tune is made for 91 octane or higher gas... so you can just fill up with 91 or 93 octane gas, then load the diablo tune...

Well, I guess I don't really need a custom tune. I am just curious aobut all the things I could do to make my truck better. The only mods I have are a K&N CAI and a Magnaflow muffler. I also got larger diameter tires the last time I had them replaced (245's to 265's). Other than that it is all stock. I am thinking of doing some small stuff but nothing that would allow me to race. I'm just looking to make the most power and gas mileage I can.

I also don't understand "older tools". My tool is brand new (6 months old). Is it the year of my vehicle? Curious. Thanks for your feedback.

by "older", I mean it's a ClassII tool, which, even though you bought it "new" and it's a new version of the predator, it's an "older" version predator - made for the older vehicles...

those "older" predators didn't have all of the same parameters available to log as the "newer" ones do... that's all...

you can still log what'cha can, or just view it on the screen while you drive, to see what your average ltft's are at, and adjust your fueling correctly...


however, you DO have tranny support!!! which our newer ones don't! so you have more adjustability than us newer guys do...

I like that. Sometimes I feel that my tranny doesn't shift smooth enough or it doesn't downshift when I punch it as fast as I would like. But I put in the Diablo tune yesterday and it seems to be much better.
