O2 Sensor deletion?

Post by LS4SPEED »

Ok fellas this is my first post/thread for this sight. I have an '06 Monte Carlo SS, I'm using the U7191. My mods are K&N CAI, MagnaFlow catback, Hogan cat downpipe, ZZP shift kit, and of course the Predator. My trouble is the downpipe keeps throwing a code for the converter inefficiency. I want to tune out the sensor, but don't know how. Can anyone help, Lew? MikeL? I appreciate the help. Thanks.

you can't tune it out via the handheld...

I'll have to make you a custom tune...

post up what the DTC codes are that you're getting, and also a copy of the diablo tune outta your car.

here's how to copy the current tune outta your car:

have you gotten your fueling dialed in yet?? if not, here's how:

If I recall correctly its the P0420, that is associated with the DP. And no I haven't logged anything yet. I'll have to install the non-dod tune and do so. Maybe tonight!

yeah, that's the one...

after you install the No DOD tune, you'll have to drive for about 75 miles before doing a data log.... to let it settle in and for the trims to get relearned by the ECM...

cuz everytime you flash the car, the trims and other learned items all get reset...

I put the non-dod tune in last night, and drove it home from work and back again so now I have about 90 miles on the new tune, I'll be able to get a good log on my home tonight. I did log some last night tho, it appears my air/fuel ratio is 14.75, pretty high. After I get a good log done I'll try and do the upload thing, I am just about computer illiterate tho, so I may need some help with the programs and such!

your normal driving part-throttle AFR will always be 14.75... that's normal for every vehicle, no worries...

it's the WOT that will change... we'll worry about THAT one after we get your fueling dialed in first...
