jerking and also no preheaters with u7131 tuner? anyone else

hey every one i just joined this site and own a predator u7131 with the r14 update and have the same issue with the jerking, but i know they are working on that but i also have a very important problem with his tuner and that is that my preheaters stopped working, i know this because every morning in my garage i would have to wait for the light to go out and now there is no light. This problem worries me for when winter gets here it is not going to be pretty to start without these. I have ran many tuners and chips and i am a certified chrysler tech so i can see whats going on in the ecm. The other thing i really dont like is that every tuner i tried always erases the latest chrysler update and installs and older version, why is this???? cant the tuner people keep up with the latest versions or make a tuner not play with the ecm number?? just a few unanswered questions thats all. That probly explaines why the dealership knew i had a programmer, but couldnt prove it.
Atleats having a chrysler tech on here they should be able to get things straightened out quicker?

You might try to put the "on the fly" stock tune in before you put it to bed. Only takes a few seconds. Just a thought.....

thats what i uploaded when i originally put it in my truck, it asks me that before it starts uploading the program. I dont know but all i know is it doesnt let the light for the heater come on any more.

Did you try to load the original back-up tune? Or it might just be a bulb.
My clutch presure went out @ 4,500 miles would have never thought that would happend either.

Not sure about that one, i do not think this is a programmer issue as i am sure i would of gotten more complaints if the pre-heaters stopped working.

Nope used the predator (read sig.) and only predator, but i suppose like johan said in a diffrent thread, that it might of erased a bad injector code?!

no its in the programmer about the heaters not coming on, as soon as i put it back to stock they came on so its another glitch with the r14, if you do a search on dtr you will find other posts about this, us up in the north need the heaters and mine come on every morning in my garage before i start the truck, or they did.lol.

So youre saying they worked with the r12 revision but not with the r14?

i dont know johan as i didnt have to try the r12 program, i had it updated before i even brought it home and installed it so i cant comment about the r12 program. I will keep doing other checks as well to see what could be going on, i totally took it out of my truck yesterdaY and tried it on the stock program and they came on this morning so its something in the program im guessing. thanks for the help.

well johan i tried everything i know how to, but all i know is that with your program installed my preheater light is not existant anymore, please adress this problem before it gets real cold up here again lol.

Gotcha, we are working on the surge right now and once we get done with it i will look at the preheater thing. If at all possible since we are down in sunny florida it would be nice if I could send you some test revisions with tunes modified for this so you could verify.
Let me know if this is something you would be interested in.
