Chevy Cargo van

Post by irishcream »

Looking for a tuner for a Chevy Express. 2001/5.0L engine. No other company so far has come up with one and i think there would be a huge market for these tuners. I am in the courier bussiness and i put on alot of miles. About 300 a day. I often carry alot of weight in my vehicle, drive in city and highway miles. For me to be able to change my computer settings for city driving, highway driving, and carrying big loads it would be great because when you are leaving a light with 1500lbs in the back of your van, any extra power would sure help. The cost of fuel is the biggest expense in my bussiness. I spend on average, $1200.00 a month on fuel and being able to set for better fuel mileage when my van is empty or more power when i'm towing or loaded up would save me possibly hundreds in a year. Every courier company from UPS, FED-EX, DHL, and every other local courier companies use these vans for their bussiness and it would possibly mean millions in sales for the company willing to produce these tuners.

When you say 5.0, do you mean the 4.8 motor, or is it an older 5.0?

Thanks

five litre

Post by irishcream »

i mean a five litre. 5.0L 305 CID chevy small block. this year of vehicle for some reason came with the option that year to come with a 305. I think there are tuners available for other years of the same make but not this particular model and engine.

Yeah, this would be an older, nonflash application.

new burn

Post by irishcream »

is there a way to do a reburn on this computer and set the new parameters with my new aftermarket parts? I have changed gear ratios to a non-factory option gear ratio so the dealership cannot even correct my speedometer.plus.plus,plus.
