My U7192

Post by josepht85 »

I got an 06 chevy K1500, it has a 5.3 flex fuel engine. Ive been running my predator for almost 8 months now. i've played with is some, got my ltft's reading good, and tuned it for my gears and tire size. Well i still cant get the tranny to shift like i would like. With the 87 tune, it shifts too hard for my taste, i like a smooth quick shift, no jerking. Ive moved the shift firmness all the way down and it still jerks hard enough to make my locker pop when i'm easing around. It does about the same with the performance tune. I seldom run it, only when i'm in a playing around mood. I've also noticed that my fuel mileage goes when i have a tune installed. I go from 17-18, to like 12-13. Any suggestions on what i need to do?

Email (or post here) us a copy of the current tune from the Predator and we can fix the shifting for you...

so do you need the current tune with my gear and tire changes, or just the preloaded 87 tune?

the current tune, outta your truck... so it has all of the adjustments in it already...

and if your predator is one of the new ones on a 9rxx revision, you'll need to post up your original backup tune file as well, since both files are needed in order to open up the new format tune files...

I bought it last year, I'm not sure what revision I have, i curently put my factory tune in with the adjustments for my gears and tires because of the hard shifting. I've also noticed the truck seems be run more efficient, I fueled up and checked my mileage and I got 19.1 where I was getting with the tune a best of 15.4. The truck don't have as much power but its not enough to justify the extra miles per gallon.

when it boots up and is at the main menu, there's a number at the top of the screen.. that's the revision number...

would be a 2.xx or 9rxx number...
