WHen I first got my charger I ran 14.7's Week 1
after learning the car. I I got it down to a 14.05 BEST with 14.3 consistently
After installing the 93 CAI tune and keeping all other parameters the same.
IT ran 1 time a IT ran 14.2 at best and consistent 14.4's thruout almost 20 runs on sunday.
There was a Daytona with a factory Airbox and Cat back exhaust Actually running faster then me consistently @ 14.09
I played with Tire pressure, LaunhRPMS everything. My top speed is identical to the previous top speed. It was 73 degree and kinda humid. I know humidity plays a huge role in performance.
So whats wat the deal ?
I know being 6'9 and 300lbs makes a difference. shouldnt my car be atleast Be atleast running 13.7's 13.8's
Do i need a CMR tune for my exact specific of my charger.
I had just loaded the 93 CAI tune40 minutes before hitting the track does swithing from the 93 oct tune to the 93CAI tune require the sme lag LEARN time as it initaill needed with the first tune upload?

you can't compare runs without correcting for DA.

Poor quality fuel would cause this as well.

Yes, the LTFT has to build back up. It gets cleared every time you flash a tune. Johan confirmed that the Long Term Fuel Trim is used at Wide Open Throttle if the correction is positive. I noticed this with my Ram when I borrowed my cousin's wide band. I ran it with the 93 tune with a mature LTFT which was +5%. I then ran it with a fresh 93 tune with a 0% LTFT and it slowed down and the AFR went up by 0.4. This could cause your vehicle to slow down or speed up, it all depends on where it wants to have the AFR.
If you want to make quick tune changes at the track, then you have to offset your fuel changes by whatever you logged for your LTFT. Then you will have to tune it again later once you have it dialed in at the track to remove however much fuel the LTFT is adding.
With that said, I would have expected the increased timing and reduction in torque management to net you quicker ET's no matter what. Track conditions make a HUGE difference. Also, did you get 20 runs in 0ne day? If so, the poor car never got to cool down. Letting it cool down will give you .2 and a mph or two better in the 1/4 as well.
Did you change your shift points? If so, make sure that you are not reving it too high now. If not, up your shift points a couple hundred rpm, unless your car's stock shift point is near 5850. The Ram was 5600 and I went to 5850. Any higher and it just flattens out too much before the shift.
Let it learn and then run it again and let us know if it gets better. If not, get a wideband and dial in the AFR. What octane gas are you running? If you have 93, try bumping the timing up a degree or two. Log your short term timing retard though and make sure it doesn't have to pull out what you just added.
Good Luck!!

Ok with my DA corrected times. I should have ran
Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
13.621 @ 100.422 MPH
Which is the range i was expecting.
And that day i ran my best times was at a extremely low humid day and @ capitol Raceway.

Re: RE: 06 performs worse at track the before Diablo.WTF
I dont know. i should have had too much octane. Would that have had negative performance effects. Here is what i did.johan wrote:Poor quality fuel would cause this as well.
4 gallons of 93 Shell V-power, drove 20 miles to track without engaging MDS
Added at the track 2 gallons of unleaded 104 oct race Gas. So with 2 gallons of 93 Vpower and 2 gallons of 104 Oct. i should have been running a solid 97 octane. If mixing gas is like mixing ingredients.
It was a overcasted day and rained that afternoon. l Humidity was a factor i know for sure.
With the weather Data looking like this.

Here is where my runs were during
Time Temperature Humidity Pressure
12:53 AM 53.1 F 80 % 29.78 in
1:53 AM 52.0 F 83 % 29.77 in
2:53 AM 50.0 F 83 % 29.78 in
3:53 AM 50.0 F 83 % 29.76 in

It was only 90 racers at the track.
I ran 3 times then let the car sit for 1 hour with the 25 cent track FAN mod.
NO ICE BAGSCoolant temps were around 168 at the begining of each race Via the DIablo Live data Log. And the last 8 Runs were hot Without cooling.
And also without care for ET times. I was grude Matching with the other Daytona, Then a Mustang, And my buddies CSRT4 which after i was so HEATSOAKED he finnaly got a bumper win and we were done.
14.4 to a 14.09 he won but i TREE'd the dickens off him earning 3 tenths there. so he chased me down. BUt only MPH @ 100 to my 98
