tryin to find a programer for my ranger

Looking for a programmer for my 02 ford ranger 2.3L , I see the new 07-08 don`t know if it would work? any help would be nice new to the programmers , been on some web site and they all say the same thing on one supports the 2.3L :cry:

For the 2.3L 4 cylinder? Forget it. Nobody is ever gonna support that thing. I had that motor in my 1990 Mustang, with all its 86hp of fury. Nobody supported it then when it was in a ponycar, so surely nobody is gonna support it now. Best bet, rip that piece of crap out of there and stick in a 5.0.

I have a 1995 5.0 stang that my toy the truck just needs more kick in the rear for the hills and passing

Why didn't you at least get the V6? Surely you had to know on the test drive that the 2.3 wasn't going to be strong enough for the weight of a pickup.

could it be custom tuned on a dyno?

Not without a way to get the tune into the ECU.

I'm wondering if maybe the SCT Tuner could possibly work for you. Theirs are generally more generic and therefore work on alot more applications.

OKay, I think perhaps the SCT Touch Screen Xtreme might work for you. They claim it works on most 96-09 gas and diesel vehicles, so you may get lucky. Looks like a Trinity knock-off, and does most of the same stuff.
