I have the vara-ram on my 07 Yukon Denali. It makes the 6.2 pull forever on the topend. Idle quality goes up also. I haven't tuned it yet, but the rumors that the 6.2 will relearn seem to be true, because the truck keeps running better and better the longer it's on there. Still going to put the predator on the Denali though... :D Truck also went from 14.2 MPG's to 15.7 MPG's after I installed the intake.

I've got a Vararam VR-6 Intake and the VR-3 velocity stack on my 8.1 vortec.Makes my truck INSANE.Patrick Ledford is THE most knowledgeable guy on ram air.he should be able to answer most,if not all, your questions.DEFINATELY recommend this setup!

As a vette guy I have always been concerned about sucking up water as I speed down the hammer lane. If you guys don't have that concern - I have heard that the Vararam is an awesome system.

Let me know what you think.

They offer a drain off upgrade for that purpose. On the truck system's you don't have to worry about that. Unless your in 4' of water. You don't have to worry about the 5" ducts sucking about any water.

The Volant Ram scoop leaned me out +7 which I measured on the predator after driving over 70 miles.

Dialed it in and things run fine...

I worry about the water also......I notice I get water spots in the CAI box but none in the intake pipe to the throttle body.

I checked the Vararam site and found it interesting they stated one of their systems offers improvements by moving the maf closer to the throttle body.....

Interesting..

Thats the intake that I am running. It sets the truck up just like the vette. There is maybe an inch between the MAF and the TB. Sounds awesome when the twin snorkels start sucking at WOT.

I guess if the MAF is closer to the throttle body it is metering air right at the throttle body so it must be more accurate......

HMMMM...I just wonder if I move mine on the Volant setup if it would gain me anything?? I just struggle a little bit since it would be closer to the engine and the heat could throw off the readings of the heating elements in the MAF.... HMMM
