Well I guess being first is not always a good thing. I have been slammed on a few different Mustang Forums for not having my car dyno tested. I found a local company that will charge me about $100.00 for an hour. I should get 2 pull's out of it. Thats with no tune or adjustments. My question is can I have the Diablo hooked up to the car when they do the dyno pull, and most importantly, what should I be looking for. Or better yet, what excatally should I be monitoring when the dyno is being ran. I keep getting horror story's that all Diablo' tunes run too lean, and i'm going to " Blow up my Motor". Although I have faith in Diablo, you good people have not steered my wrong yet.
since I dont know a tuner from a hole in the ground, can you please let me know what I should be data logging when the car is on the dyno?
Thanks for your time,
Tim

Without knowing what tune is in your Predator (I guess a standard U7140) it is hard to respond, but if this is your Predator then the tunes in it are not designed for a supercharged car and can seriously damage your engine if loaded into your PCM. Is spite of this warning your Predator can be loaded with a correct tune.
You do need a tune to safely operate your car with this supercharger or with any serious modification. A dyno tune with a professional tuner is the best and in many cases the cheapest route. (A blown engine is more expensive)
If that is not a option for whatever reason, then many CMR dealers will sell you a email tune to get started.
If you want to be a tuner start by taking a class at www.efi101.com for instance.
Good luck

umm the edelbrock package comes with the programmer with the custom tune already on it. I wouldnt mess with it further considering edelbrock sells it as a complete package. . . . all your guesswork is done

The Predator included with the E-Force S/C kit contains tunes that have been painstakingly developed by the engineers at Edelbrock over the past several months, after testing on many different vehicles.
I can assure you that they would never release a tune that was not 100% safe. You should be able to load the tune in your driveway and go romp it down the street 5 minutes later, as it is designed as a plug and play package.
If anything, I think you'll find the tunes to be very conservative, with low timing and very rich A/F ratios at WOT.

I hate to brust your bubble Mike, but....... Theres some issues with the Edelbrock S/C unit. Rob will be sending me new/updated tunes for my car next week. Till then I was told NOT to have it Dyno'ed, not to "go Romp" on it. With an wide Band Sensor running at 13.6- 13.7, I'm afraid to even start it
