So what does the KNK MAX TOTAL RETARD represent. Just curious how to interpret the data stream.
Thats the max amount of timing the tool 'can' pull out if it wants to.

Okay, I will try to load the "c" crom today.

So, I guess we just ignore KNK MAX TOTAL RETARD. I was wondering what the hell that was too!

You have to put the truck back to stock before you can do a crom update. Then after you use DSDownloader to install the new crom you have to flash the performance tune of choice back in. You will also need to redo any adjustments you already did, so make sure you have that documented first before you put it back to stock.

The 9to3c crom still has the same problem. It will not downshift to 2nd from 3rd at low speed. I like all the new adjustments, but the adjustment for the 3-2 downshift occurs with 45%, 55%, and 75% throttle. Those steps are too close together and we need a 15% adjustment. I need one for light pedal downshifts to fix this problem. It should not take 45% throttle at 15mph to get the truck to downshift from 3rd to 2nd. Much more than 45% and it usually goes from 3rd to 1st. Is there no way to have it downshift by speed even whey you are off the gas? Under 20mph it should not be in 3rd.

I am not exactly sure what the downshift 2-1 and 3-2 rpm is referring to. Is that the rpm that it has to go down to in the higher gear before it will downshift? If so, the 1300 that is in there can never be achieved because the converter slips and stalls up over 2k with pretty light loads, especially when it is holding 3rd at only 15mph!

Wait, I think I got it to work!! I changed the 3-2 45% downshift rpm to 3k and the 3-2 55% shift rpm to 3.5k. I only put about 7 miles on it but I think that fixed my issue!

I am a happy camper now. I just need to drive it some more and then dial in those new shift adjustments to my liking. The upshft points feel pretty good as they come in the canned tune.

How much did you alter the upshift points at the various throttle positions from stock?

Thanks!
Craig

Are you referring to the partial throttle upshift parameter? If so, does that also affect when the truck will downshift? When I installed 9to3c I adjusted +200 rpms for each throttle position for 1-2 and 2-3. It gave me what I wanted for acceleration purposes in regards to using partial throttle but I didn't notice that it was downshifting any sooner than normal.

No, look at my message closer. I changed the 3-2 DOWNSHIFT rpm. I left all the upshifts alone.

What parameter changes the downshift RPM? I don't think I have that parameter in my Diablo?

The 05-06 have downshift adjustments, the 07 and up do not due to the way they are setup, a little complex to get to work in the predator.

Johan,

I am not exactly sure what the downshift 2-1 and 3-2 rpm is referring to. Is that the rpm that it has to go down to in the higher gear before it will downshift, or is the target RPM for the gear it is shifting into?

Also, can you tell me how much you changed the part throttle upshifts, or will I have to "modify stock tune" to see what they were?

Thanks,
Craig

I'm currently running 9t025. What kind of changes should I expect?

Johan-
Are you guys still trying to add downshift parameters to the 07's or have you given up due to the complexity mentioned before?
