DODGE SRT4 Crousing in lean Condition with ds

i have a weird problem and need your idea.

My car was top shape in the cold winter temperature. i was peaking 15-17 psi, and holding 15 until red line with a wot afr of 11.1 all the way with no knock or max 2 deg at shifting. No Hesitation and a lot of power.

Idle : 14.7 Perfect afr
Crousing Highway : 14.4 to 14.9. afr perfect


Since Hotter temperature present, Thing chance, Car have more Hesitation, Specialy at take off, When afr Goes High 16 ......

Wot run : 10.1 around at 15-17 psi (Pig Rich)
Crousing on Highway : 15.5 to 15.9 (Lean)
Takeoff or if u give sudden Gaz : 15.5 to High 16-16.5 (and Hesitation)

What do u think is my problem ? ? A bad injector, Head Gasket Leak, wastegate ajustment .... (I dont look to have vac or boost leak, only thing that look weird it's my vac Number at idle at -22 hg that look to much)

i dont have any Check engine Cel, so that why i need your Help to know what it going on, i dont feel save to crouse that lean. Computer still on log commanded 14.7 to 15.04 afr in close loop... Why i Get 15.5 to 16 in crouse when in Hotter (With Hesitation) , and a nice 14.7 at colder temperature. Never seen that before in my life....

First off, cruising as lean as 17.0:1 won't hurt anything. It will actually gain a couple l/km,,but I think you might have an issue.


What is your Vac reading on the highway at cruising speed?? Did it change as well?

Vac in idle : -22 hg (seen high)
Vac in Crousing on Highway -15 -12 about.

afr this morning : 14.7-15.3 under 60 mph
Afr under 60 mph crousing 15.5-15.9

as soon as i give a little bid of gaz, or i take off from a stop..... 16 and more afr and hesitate .... for 2-3 sec, after back to normal.

Btw, Some day afr is 14.7 all the way and no hesitation , this problem come only sometime ... specialty at hotter outside temp.... Winter i never have this problem .... also i found to that i have air inside the rad, i can hear some bubble sometime, But i dont think is related to that . i dont see white smoke from exaust too. i have a k&n cai with the cheap Rubber Flex elbow, can it be my problem than the Elbow Twist and Make my afr bad ? ? in summer , but not in winter because the Elbow is Harder with cold temp ?

Maybe to much preload on my wg ? Can it be related ?

Patrick, I'd have to suggest you work with one of our cmr dealers that is familiar with the SRT4 to figure this out.

Custom tuning is going to be the key, and Brian is no longer with us.

Well i dont really need a Custom Tune. Im stage one with stg2 Wg (That Brian ajust for me). Im Just desappointed that diablo tell me a certain way to go see someone else to make it work , We sell it for srt-4 but doesn't supported it anymore. I understand is complicated, but Forum should be there for that, To Help people who bought the predator. We should be able to buy at decent price a single car version of CMR, so we could self support.

But the Point is , Mike, we should have support and a Person who tune srt4. Im selling myself, and if a customer have a problem during the warranty of the product , i would help him, even after to keep my costumer and make futur Money. Im paid for that.

Btw, Im interessed to work part time with u and give srt-4 support. Just make me a formation of cmr, and a cmr copy. I already have the car to test it , and past about 15 Revision with you , and have a lot a knowlage already.

I am not telling you that we will not support you by any means, but I currently do not have an SRT4 expert int he shop.

I'd suggest you hit up the SRTforums, as Brian left a bunch of knowledge over there with those guys, and I'm sure there are plenty of guys there that can help point you in the right direction.

Well i find the srt ds-group, should be sticky. There a lot of info on predator and srt. Well first thing, i'm gonna Update the rev 16r to 17r,. did the tune change so much since 15r? Well this Rev was Working so nice on my car. After i made the error of changing for 16r and lost fuel ajustment, Rev limiter and afr was different .... Just on this Point, What you think is the best Rev to put on ?

-15-16 -17 ?

I test r.17 yesterday.

Did dsp done some tune ajustment other than adding Futur calib, fix the fan, the rpm, and add the 6-7k fuel ajustment setting ?

Because, my crousing afr look better (14.5 to 15), car don't hesitate as much and look to have more torque !

im happy to because parameters work for me . i just need to test the wot tomorrow. Other have good new about rev 17 ?

car may have to make adjustments to ST and LT fuel trims... Just has to learn the settings..

if you've got an S2 WGA then the new revisions won't work properly for you. if brian adjusted your earlier version and it worked great, i'd reinstall the original tune that was adjusted for your WGA and leave it at that.

At this moment im rev.17 with the custom tune brian did for me, working great , but still have a lean crousing afr..... 15.5 to 16 when i give a little gaz.
