Can't download Original Backup to computer

I am trying to save my Original Backup tune to my computer and here is what happens: After plugging the tuner into my laptop, I press "Get tune file from tool", it then asks me," do I wish to download original backup file", I click "yes to download. I then get an error message that states, " There was a failure retreiving tune from tool. error reported was " Please use the PerformanceTune menu to read your original backup before exporting. I have restored the original tune into my car, and it is in the tuner. Can someone help me out here? Thanks. This is on my '07 Daytona

Sounds like you have not let the tool read your stock tune yet?

Plug it in and install a tune first, then export the backup file.

I have been using my Predator for over a year now. I just went out to the car and checked and it said the last tune written was the original backup. Not sure if this is what you meant Mike.

you have put the original backup in the car, so it is not in your tool.

When this is performed will the priginal backup only be on the computer or will it be on the computer and the diablo?

You are only uploading a copy of the file from the Predator, it is always inthere until you restore the backup.
