RE: 2005 magnum help
If it is not right with the stock tune, may need to see a dealer.
Any other codes?

RE: 2005 magnum help
i had the same thing happen to me it is a mds problem go into modify tunes and shut mds off car will be fine
RE: 2005 magnum help
Its actually not an MDS problem or a Diablo problem. Its a DCX problem. Just disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and it will be fine. Unfortuneately you might have to do that everytime you load a tune. Its a flash problem with the early build 5.7L 05's. Shutting off MDS will solve the problem but if you want MDS then you are SOL and have to reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery.

RE: 2005 magnum help
thanks for your input are there any fixes for this?? and does it have to be disconnected for a half hour?? i read somewhere to depress brake pedal witch will drain all the power when battery is disconnected. and if i have a tune in the car will it be earased when i do that?? thanks
RE: 2005 magnum help
There is no fix. Just have to reset the PCM. It is actually one of the steps to flash a PCM in the early builds. I found it in a TSB a while ago. You can disconnect the battery on both ends and touch the leads together to drain any voltage left in the capacitors in the PCM. That way you dont have to wait for the drain.

RE: 2005 magnum help
ok dont really get you on touch both ends together what you mean touch plus and minus together??
RE: 2005 magnum help
Yep. Simply put, short it out.
RE: 2005 magnum help
ok after i do that and reattach my cables do i have to turn wheel to right and left for abs or whatever im a ford tech but stopped in 03 so im out of date lol... thanks for help and support my name is jim thankyou alot
RE: 2005 magnum help
You'll probably have to re-calibrate your auto-up/down on the windows. Hold window button down until window hits bottom, continue to hold button for 3 seconds. Do the same for up. Then the auto up/down should work. If it works anyway no need to re-calibrate.
People say you need to re-calibrate your peddal/throttle... I kind of think that's a myth but it looks harmless enough to do it anyway. ...I forgot how. Something like turning the key to the on position and slowly pressing the throttle all the way down and back up. maybe some key on/off stuff. Somebody will chime in with the procedure.

RE: 2005 magnum help
great thanks so much i am new to dodge and to the diablo so it is confusing at times thankyou for your support. so you have an srt8 how does it run?? that was my dream car but could only afford r/t but i love it just the same. between you and me i like dodge over ford anyday. they do run alot better
RE: 2005 magnum help
The srt8s are outstanding. It's enough power to keep you satisified on the street. It's over that threshold where you never get completely used to it -- even when you get used to it, it's enough to always puts a grin on your face. And it comes with stock handling acceptable for a road course.
