No adjustments necessary. You will get some idle issues until the PCM relearns the tune. Drive for 50 milres and then check the LTFT again. Adjust if necessary. 2000 rpm is correct and a good range/speed.

Whoa whoa whoa.....you were ranging from 18-20 on your initial log with the 87 tune? That seems kinda high especially if you are running bone stock without a CAI or anything. I would think you may want to look for any leaks on your system. I am sure Lew will weigh in sometime today.

m8silverado wrote:Are you supposed to log the LTFT in 4th gear cruising or bump down to 3rd cruising? I'm confused reading the stuff on on DSLOGREDUX and reading here. In 4th the rpm's are way low at 70 mph (1900-2000) and in 3rd they're at 2500-2800. So which do you log for?
In 4th, the rpms are perfect for logging. I try to log at 2000 rpm everytime I log. Unfortunately 70mph is only about 1700 rpm for me, so I normaly log at 55mph in 3rd gear to keep me right at 2000 rpm. 2500-2800 rpm is way too high. Stick it in 4th, set the cruise at 70, and let it log. Make your adjustments off of that.

U need to install the 87 tune first before you log. Then drive between 50 and 75 miles then u need to log. That -18 on the ltft seems like u didnt let the compiter relearn by driving it yet. Install tune the drive then log and make adjustments. The reason y ur seeing the 3rd gear is the nbs has active fuel management and it keeps it from going to 4 cyl mode during logging. Let us know and someone will help u out

I just ordered my first diablo tuner and had the dealer install it on my truck. He just installed one of the pre-set tunes on the machine. My question is, Since i do have the CAI and my truck is getting more air to it, would that make it run lean and me have to custom program the diablo? Also, will it data log on the 2009 silverado's? How do i order the usb and power cable so i can download tunes and use the data logger (if it will log)?

Thanks in advance.

Brad,

Start here. If you have any other questions start a thread and post up. You will get more and quicker responses. And yes your CAI will lean you out so you need to dial in your ltfts, run it for 50 miles and log again. You are wanting between -2% and 0%.
