2006 Mustang GT auto - U7140 r.35 - JLT Cold Air Intake

I received an email notifying that someone had replied to my last post, but I don't see anything. Can someone help me with the lag issues I'm having with shifts in the 3500 - 5500 RPM range?? When I throw down enough throttle to redline, it shifts firmly. When I'm accelerating slowly (not fun for a Mustang owner!) everything is OK. Anything between grandma driving and wide open throttle though, and the shift lag is substantial. Again, any input from anyone who may have answers on this issue is greatly appreciated.

I emailed you a tune please let me know if this fixes your issue.

I was emailed a tune back in March. The tune firmed up the shifts, but made the overall performance worse. I went ahead and reinstalled the standard firm shift tune for the JLT intake. Did you recently email me a new tune? If so, I did not get it.

Also, is the new tune optimized for 93 octane gas? If not, what setting(s) should be changed to optimize for 93 octane vs. the standard 91 octance tunes?

The tune i created was for 91 octane. If that one works out then i can supply you with a 93 octane tune for your CAI.

Can you please optimize the tune you sent me for 93 octane fuel? The tune your sent a month ago is running well, but I would like to get the most bang for my buck at the pump, since I use 93 and not 91. Just out of curiousity...what changes will you make to the tune, so that it will run better on 93 octance? Thanks for all your help!

All you need to do is go in and modify the tune by adding 2° to the global timing parameter.

Hi MikeL

I was looking for a solution to my problem and found this thread. This is the exact thing I an experiencing since loading a tune from my predator. It has a lag on upshift when under moderate acceleration, almost like tcs kicks in for a second. Happened with original intake and performance 87 tune and now it's still there (a little worse) with JLT II intake and 91 JLT tune.

Currently running 94 octane so I bumped timing +2 degrees on 91 JLT tune (didn't seem to affect symptoms so why not )
If you have to write a new tune for me a 91 oct jlt would be fine.

Problem still there. Seems to be the worst when it's shifting around 3500
