Ok, I noticed today while i was passing a car that i heard a little engine knock. I have a the predator installed with a CAI running the 93 octane tune, and a 180 t stat with fans at 181 to 189. Also, after you tune the car do you have to go back and put the factory tune in b4 you can tune it again with the predator and install the changed fan settings?

no, you dont need to go back to stock to modify your tune, just go into "modify tune". You can record live data as well. You may have not had knock, as sometimes it's hard to hear..

I did hear it. I stopped on an empty road and i gave it some gas and i heard the knock.

If you are actually hearing it, then you probably have a ton. Log some data and take a look at how much. You probably have bad gas. The only gas I can run with the 93 CAI tune is Sunoco Ultra 94. Anything else was giving me a lot of ST knock.

Try loading the 91 tune.

I did try the 91 tune with the cai and the knock WAS REALLY BAD. I switched to the 93 and well no knock. Everything was fine until yesterday. You know i had been using shell 93 octaine and I put a different 93 gas in it. hmmmmm. Tony how do I log the data. I keep the predator on and i drive the car?

Go the the diagnostic part, then go the the live data (I think that is what its called), and turn on what ever you want to check. Once you get the parameters turned on you want to check it will ask you to run it. If your car is running hit yes and it will start logging data. It's a great tool for tuning. I have been checking ST and LT knock retard, timing, Fuel retard, RPM, and a couple others. I also installed a wideband in my car to help with the tuning.
