I may be sending my tuner back because at this point I'm not satisfied at all. And everytime my car is parked or idle, the rpms go up and down.. Anywhere from slightly under 500 to almost 1000. Yes I have an automatic transmission but I don't feel that this should matter. Please help if anyone feels the need.

I can understand your frustration, b ut these are not tune related issues, there has to be another problem with the car, a small leak somewhere maybe.

Like you think maybe an air leak in the intake or exhaust?

Yes, most likely the intake.

Okay I believe we found the leak and have it fixed. Sorry for the trouble. I may have asked you this other thing before, but if I take the cats off of my car, will it harm or prevent anything from working right if I don't get a proper tune? Any opinions, ideas, and/or recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!

I have been working hard to resolve this issue and have had no luck whatsoever. Still getting the same error codes as previously listed and the idle is still going up and down quite a bit. Very embarassing at times if you can even imagine. I've checked over and over for any leaks. Took everything off and re-installed with silicone for extra leakage protection. Please help.

Can someone at least let me know if they're looking into this? Thanks.

I would suggest you have a pro look the car over, as nobody else running these tunes is having the same issue, it points to an issue with the car.

Back again.. After getting a few different Ford Certified mechanics to look at my car, still not having any luck pin-pointing the problem. I can't even leave the default parameters without the idle rpm's dropping so low that the car continues to shut off. I have to modify the Idle RPM parameters and adjust them up at least to 800 or more in order to keep the car running, and it still revs up and down continously, which wastes gas and probably more things that I'm unaware of. Basic info again, I have 2005 Mustang GT auto tranny, with C&L Racer CAI (95 mm), and predator CL7140, running 93 octane (and I do have the Global Spark Advance on +2). Please please please help...

This appears to be an issue with the Throttle body calibration... Seen similar issue with aftermarket TB's on these cars especially the surging but also a few on stock ones. This can easily be checked by a certified tech or yourself. BBK has a good article on how to perform the check (just search for idle surge on the net), even though its a stock TB. I agree, its not a tune issue and you can confirm this by putting stock intake back on and stock tune back in and see if issue still occurs.

I removed the CAI again and the tb this time. After completely removing and cleaning it, it seems to be working fine without any idle surge...at the moment.. Hopefully it was just a bad connection or something.
