Help me get the puff tune downloaded please!!

So I have the u7130 with the v.8r24 I am trying to download the new version 8r28 version for the puff tune but it keeps saying it's a wrong format. This is the version I need to update too correct and I tried to download the puff tune but when i plug it into the truck it says wrong vehicle specification or something like that and i do have the right calid number.

YOu have to first update with the r28 crom file, then you can use the puff tune, otherwise it will complain about the tune not matching the vehicle.

Thats what i am trying to do but it keeps saying the r28 tune is in the wrong format and now it is saying the application is missing or corrupt I can't even get it to the tunes or options before it starts over and says it again??

the r28 isnt a tune its a crom file{software update}i plugged in my predator and then on the ds loader go to crom file thing and then it should pop up and ask you where the crom file is,you need to put in the spot where it is{my documents,desk top where ever you put it.then it should prompt you to power up the predator.then it should install everything automatically,if this doesnt work then the only thing i can think of is you have to old of a version.theres a version r27 crom which may need to be installed first.it shouldnt but im no computer dude.try these things and let us know

well now when it boots up it says the application is missing or corrupt then shuts off?
and were do u find the r27 download

wierd there is sonother post on the missing or corupt thing.is this when you plug it into the truck or the pc?

on the home page of diablo in the middle theres an area on updates and the r27 is there,i updated mine and my dads and now updated to the r28 and got the puffers loaded.it may have to go in that order,wouldnt hurt to try.the files are small.

my proggramer when it boots up says the application is missing or corrupt I can't get it to do anything else? i tried it on a 12volt plug in and in my truck and it says the same

Alright updated to the r 27 and it is still saying the file format is not recognized when i try to download the r28? any other ideas i know i'm a pain

no problem,i know what its like when something simple doesnt work,maybe delete the r28 from your puter and download it again and try it again,when you installed r27 does it boot up normally?and when it boots does it show that it is version r27?its probaly somthing simple,do you use vista operating system on your puter?if so somtimes it can cause problems,another guy on here couldnt get the r27 to download on his vista,he did it on his buddys puter with xp no probs.keep us informaed.

no vista it says r27 I did delete it and reinstall it and yes it does boot up normal i am completely stumped right now

ya im stumped too,johan will probaly read this tomorow morning and chime in,its somthing simple im sure,in the mean time go to the sticky and download the non puffer extreme rkl for the r27 and go smoke some tires to get the frustrations out. hahahaha
