spark knock

I have an 06 mustang GT and the U7140 tuner. I also have flow masters and a K&N cold air intake. I recently notice that when I get down on the gas it spark knocks. Rigth now i am running the 87 tune with the 87 gas. Should I maybe try running mid grade gas or with these mods would i need a custome tune?

The pinging may be caused by a bad load of gas. Try different brands of quality gas, like Amoco, Mobil, and Sunoco. If that does not help, then dump a can of Seafoam into the tank.
Recently my 05 Mustang GT with a C&L Street CAI and a 93 octane tune had a high rpm POT and WOT pinging problem. I tried different brands of gas, retarded the timing, and the richened the A/F ratio with no luck. My mechanic suggested Seafoam, which he has used with much success. So I bought a can of it, and after 200 miles the pinging disappeared. It's good stuff IMHO.

The CAI may be leaning you out slightly.
Try adding 5% to the global MAF to see if the car wakes up.
