u7140 and BBK intake what tune to use
I bought a BBK intake, and before i had the CAI i had a K&N regular filter, and I had the Diablo Sport Firm Shift tune , everything worked fine, but once I installed the BBK intake about 10 miles later my engine light comes on so I pull out the Tuner and check the codes and it says bank 1 and 2 running lean, is there a fix for this I even changed the tune using 93 octane, and i still got the engine light, is there anything i can adjust on the tuner to make this work?

RE: u7140 BBK intake
They don't have a tune for the BBK CAI,I have a BBK CAI on my 2006 V6 stang along with a Steeda TB spacer and Pypes Axle back and used the Airraid CAI firm shift and it made a hell of a difference in performance and have driven over a 1000 miles with the tune and no issues. You might want to try it...
RE: u7140 BBK intake
I have an 06 Mustang v6 w/ the BBK and dual exhaust w/ GT Mufflers . I updated my tuner to the latest revision, used the 93 tune w/ +12 MAF and I had no issues. I started w/ +5 and incremented until the light went off. It took a weekend but it was worth it.
When I'm cruising I get better mpg. There is also a huge difference in torque when I step on the gas. It's no GT killer (yet), but I look down and don't realize I'm floating at 80 mph+ effortlessly, and still have "passing power."

On unsupported CAI kits you would usually add a percentage to the MAF curve of the tune until your check engine light goes out. Like rmcglon said it will normally take anywhere from 5-10% sometimes a hair more to correct your issue.

RE: u7140 BBK intake
Well I have some bad news...
I live in ATL and anyone who's lived or visited here knows that the average highway speed is around 75+, and everyone drives like @ssh0les. To make a long story longer I had to cross 4 lanes of traffic in a hurry so I had to gun it. When I opened it up, my car sounded like kid that was punched in the stomach by the neighborhood bully. I was sucking in air but no power at all. The emissions light came back on. I adjusted the MAF to +13 and the light went off but the car seems to have less power that it did w/ the stock airbox. It runs like crap. The filter is clean, oiled properly, all the connections are good. I even had ford check the "MAF sensor" in the intake and it's fine as well.
By no means am I blaming the Predator. I decided to say screw it. I reinstalled the factory air box w/ a K&N drop in, and the 93 FIRM SHIFT tune. By far, this is much better that any of my unprofessional tune adjustments w/ the bbk. Over the BBK, you can feel the difference in torque throughout out the powerband, so much that I'm going to cruise around looking for GT-R's and 2009 M3's to kill! I'm really feeling myself!!!
I will probabaly trash my BBK unless anyone wants it. I'll throw in the filter cleaner as well. I'm giving it away for FREE as-is. Buyer must pay for shipping however they want it shipped. I'll take pics and email them to whom ever is interested.
Having said that. Which is the best intake that is on the market that is compatible with the u7140 and the latest revision? That is the one I want to buy. I've looked into ford racing's new intake (http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/pa ... ield=11129). It's a 85mm intake so it shouldn't it work w/ the 85mm tune? I've also heard good reviews on the JLT and Roush.
Thank you for your time.

RE: u7140 BBK intake
There is a tune for the FRPP (Steeda) Intake, so that will work well.
That or the Airaid or JLT would be my choices. (Roush=Airaid)

I appreciate the help. What can't you use with the tuner out of the box? (i.e. pullies, throttle bodies, etc.)
