2005 5.9 cum.... is my mpg right?

Hey guys and girls ....Just wondering if my mpg guage is correct? Before i put the predator sport tune r on My guage was 22 to 24 mpg ....now its saying it 33 mpg........I put the performance tune on and my tire size are 35 inch

I say no ,i have the same truck but the tire size is 33 on paper 19 mpg.

ya once you put a tune in the truck, that overhead is out a ton. mine says i'm getting 28 US or something like that. Not. Maybe 18 woud be closer

There is one way to figure out fuel mileage in the Dodge trucks, take a piece of electrical tape, cover the overhead computer display with it, then get out a pen and paper! The overheads are wrong 99% of the time from the factory. The only thing they are good for is being dishonest when you sell the truck and finding a sucker who would actually believe that your getting 33MPG. Use the # of gallons off the pump and mileage you drove (if your odometer is calibrated for the tires) and that is the best way to know what your getting.

i went to OK. (2000 miles) and it was reading 30mpg...but pen & paper told me 19.....@ 90mph

Wow you went 2000 miles at 90mph and got 19mpg! Good thing you own one of the greatest gas mileage trucks ever built cause your going to need the extra $$$ to pay the speeding tickets!

90 mph wow,i dont think mine has seen over 75 haha,i have a plainjaner so i dont have the overhead lieometer haha,i get 22 pretty steady and im ok with that,and diesel here is cheaper than gas at the moment to so its allllll good haha
