I have an '08 Dodge Ram Hemi and there seems to be a consistent issue with generator voltage on these things. After frying a few phones and GPS units, my truck has been to two dealers three times. My generator was providing 15Vdc+ sometimes as high as 15.8-16Vdc. Both dealers said it was high anbd expected it to be in the mid to upper 13Vdc range. But the readings are within the specification of 16Vdc or less per the service manual. In comparisons with other trucks on the lot, they also were high.
Short story long, during the third visit, Chrysler was involved. Their solution was a new PCM update as they said the voltage regulator was controllled by the computer. After the update, it lowered voltage to the mid and upper 14Vdc. This is still a little too high.
With this function being controlled by the PCM would it possible to include a setting in the predator (U7137) to change this?
