Unable to change gear ratios in predator??

Anyone with an '09 SRT 6 speed tried to change the gear ratio on their predator and get a message that says, 'unable to change gear ratio'? I called diablosport and they couldn't figure out why it gives the error message. Any updates from Diablosport?? It's a simple adjustment in the 'quickadjust'...

What gears do you have in the car?

I almost wonder if it does not need to be changed in the 6 speed cars, much like it does not matter in a Vette...

I haven't switched them yet. Why would it not matter? The speedo will certainly be off with a different gear vs. the stock 3.90, right? The same sorta situation as putting different size tires on the car...will throw the speedo off. The quick adjust allows a different tire size, but not 'transmission gear'

No, not all cars, such as Vettes, use the axle to determine speed. Im not 100% sure off the top of my head right now, but I guess it does not matter since you have stock gears right now, no?

I'm planning on getting some different gears REALLY soon so it does matter. Of course if the speedo has nothing to do with the transmission, revolutions of the driveshaft, or rear end then it won't matter to the speedo. But...why does the program read the message if it is something offered and I'm assuming tested to work? That was one of the reasons I ordered the programmer to be honest...

Again, my assumption that it is not needed is based on the fact that it does not work, since I am sure it would have been tested if it was needed....

Thanks...I understand what you are saying. Please post the answer when you find out from Johan. I will wait to order the gears until I find out how the speedo reads..

the speed on these cars, is measured by the axles. but as far as i knew, if the computer sees a huge difference in speed, between the trans output, and the rear tires. it will go to limp mode. this is why nobody was able to do gear swaps, until the predator came out. im pretty sure this option should work on your predator, as thats how everyone is doing the new richmond gear set swaps.

i could certainly be worng. it has happened before. lol. but to be sure, i would go post your question at lxforums. thats the most knowledge you will find on the hemi cars anywhere.
