EGR Question

Have had the predator for a few weeks now. I have been trying both the 91 cai and 93 cai performance tune on my 09 challenger RT 6 speed. The product is awsome. I love it. I have modified a few parameters. I have two questions>

1). I have increased the rev limiter to 6200 rpm, however at 5800 rpm in first, it forces me to shift (Manual transmission) . Is the rev limiter the correct adjustment, or should I increase shift points? ( I have not gotten up to 5800 in any other gear, so I am ucertain if this is a consant with all) Trying to better understand if the shift points are just a factor with the automatic transmissions

2) I have read in a post about disabling the EGR. My question is what is the benifit of disabling it? Are there any disadvantages?

1/ You mean you hit the rev limiter at 5800? Since you have a manual transmission all you would need to do is raise the rev limiter.
2/ There are really no proven benefits from disabling the egr, in theory, the motor would get cleaner air but the amount of recycled air the egr contributes is negligible from a performance standpoint.

Thanks Johan....I do believe the predator will not raise the rev limiter in the tune. It will allow me to adjust it, and load it, but the rev limiter in the vehicle is still set @ 5800 when shifting? Any insight?

Post up your last tune written so i can check it out where the rev limiter is set at.
