the car starts and everything. i currently got the battery off the car in hope to discarge the pcm so i can have access to the info. The predator just couldnt read it with the beta crom version for my car. but when i load back the original crom file that was meant for this(ram truck crom) it reads the odb info but display a wrong cid screen. so what is going on with this. am i getting a pcm lockout because of the file error installation..

by the way.. i never even use this tuner yet. havent even been able to install it so i dont even have a backup file on this yet.

After that i tried to update the calibration and crom file. so it did its thing. For calibration update, the first time it said the memory is full. the second time it worked. Then i tried crom file. The thing did the preparation screen. then when it boot the predator, it hang and the predator did too. So now i got the corrupted file screen. Then i did the manual update without autoconnect. Voila got program. But once i connected to the car, it turns on but wont read the info. The predator just keep telling me to turn key on. What can i do?

OK, updating the tool was not a good idea.

May have been a better idea to wait it out till this morning when we could help you out.

What revision was it on?
What did you update it to?

May need to call in and let me reset this tool and start from scratch.

i updated it with the same file that was on it when i first started the update. it was 9t04a. i thought i had a bad file cause i load it throught a thumb drive directly. it was all the same file but just from the desktop

got it reset throught customer service. but it still didnt do anything
the thing remained the same. maybe you know what i need to fully. how can i contact you mikel? whats your extension?

We'll have to wait for Johan to get back on Monday to look into this...

okei. i will wait. I just remeber. After i did the reset. i still had all the file i put into it such as the crom file and caid update. i dont know if thats what you mean by start from scratch.
Also when i checked for error with a different crom file. i saw the pcm error. i dont know if it affect drivability. but currently i am afraid to drive the vehicle.
i hope there is a solutiion...

data logger still works too. it still doesnt recognize the key cyle or the key on on position.

Okie. progress to sum up issue to this day:
-I initiially attempt to install tuner: went through update pcm, prepare tcm and update tcm.
-But failed on turn key on and off cycle.
-Reader display fail install cycle
-Redo 6 to 7 times
-Though had bad file since update from sd card
-Redid update of files with same file
-Tuner had error during update and hanged
-Corrupt File shown on screen and did manual update
-Went down car to check file and car, displayed a CAid information screen stating error
-Tuner no longer read car error code or clear error
-only live data is reading
-Reupdate with ram 1500 crom file.
-Tuner reads everything including vin, caid, error code. and clear code error(this is when it displayed pcm error)
-Reinstall 9t04a.
-Test, still failed
-Called customer support to reset
- After reset, still had all file of crom and caid on tuner
-Rinstall file again
-Still fail for car to read
-All option in tuner dont read the key on location. Such as error code, clear error code, show caid. however Show vin works
-Reset Car power system(battery cable(grounding) ,fuse, iod, )
-Still Nothing

We need to get some wranglers in here for some more testing before we add these in.

You can return it if you want, I do not have an ETA when it will be done as of right now.

so will there be an update eventually to include the earlier gc 5.7? or are we outa luck for some reason? i know your all pretty busy there just been waiting a few years only to see this tease not covering my 05 =(
