Ok I just got my Predator yesterday in the mail, and I tried to connect it to the car today after work but i got this screen.

So I take it into my room and try to connect it to my computer, won't connect at all, installed the driver to my computer. I have tried all of my usb ports and nothing has happened. I'm kinda ticked off about this because I waited for this for a month due to the shipping company(got sent back to shipper twice) and I finally get it and nothing... I need some assistance, i just want this to work for me.
Also have 05 Mag. Your Cal ID looks old. My Cal ID is much newer than that. The two letters at the end "AD" needs to be like "AL" or something. You need a DCX calibration update.
If you're running Vista on your PC, that may be a problem. There are a number of folders on the driver CD, if you explore within. I have Win XP and found the folder for that particular setup...there are like 6 folders for different PC operating systems. You have to pick the right one for your platform. If no Vista folder, then perhaps DS can elaborate?
Once the driver is loaded out of the correct folder for you PC's operating system, any one of the USB ports should recognize the cable to plug into the Predator. Power the Predator up and connect to PC via USB.
You also need to download the DS downloader program to communicate with your handheld. Then there's a number of steps to take to do the DCX update to make your cal ID is current.
On a side note, I loaded the 9r12 CROM firmware into the Predator...there's been some issues reported by other users with 05 maggys and newer firmware. I tired the 9r17 and blew my handheld unit out(don't know if the newer firmware was the cause)...no harm in the 9r12....DS may have fixed the bug by now with the latest firmware. They should chime in.

I did all this finally got the diablo to connect to the computer and installed the latest crom but once i get back to the car it shows the same message, there is no Calibration Updater tab when i get into the DSDL. What next?
not sure? I can't quite remember. When I first plugged my Pred into my vehicle it said I needed a calibration update. I managed to connect the handheld to the computer, as described above^^. I think the handheld automatically started a DCX calibration update on its own and all I had to do was answer like two questions and the DSDL program did the rest. When it finds the predator, does it do it at 115200?
