So what's a Tune file, where do I find it? How do I record it? I thought a tune file was part of a log file? I got a few log files, but need a tune file for a custom tune?

A tune file is the software/firmware that runs on your ECM (Electronic Control Module) or in our case, PCM (Powertrain Control Module). Or at least it's part of that. The program running on the PCM uses data from a number of tables or constants along with the input of a whole lot of sensors to control your engine, transmission, traction control, etc. When you use the Predator to write a "tune file" to the PCM you end up with different values in the tables and constant values.
Tune files come packaged with the Predator (91 PERF, 93 PERF, etc.). The Predator allows you to make some further modifications to some of the parameters.
You don't record a tune file. You record/log how the engine, etc. runs when it's using a tune file.
The tune files included with the Predator are "custom" tune files in that they are different from the factory tune file.
If you need or want something different than the tunes that come with the predator, then you need to find a tuner to create a tune file to your specifications or that will meet your needs. These tuners will use a PC software package (called Chip Master Revolution -- CMR) which produces a tune file that can be applied to your PCM using the Predator (same way you would apply one of the included tune files).

Sorry, I meant the "tune file"/drg to send to Johan to get the rear oxy sensor program removed from my PCM and hopefully stop the codes/CELs because I gutted the cars. Johan sent me the info and after searching my computer for the drg file I finally got it sent to him.
Because there's no CMR dealers within 600 miles of where I live is why I bought the Predator.

ahh, yes. Any tune file for the Predator will have a .drg file extension (assuming it's for a Dodge/Chrysler).

Well Johan hasn't sent the Custom tune yet, but I'm hopeful that he'll get 'er to me tomorrow.
Switching to the canned 91 oct tune seems to have solved my "slow reaction" oxy sensor and Cat oiverheat codes - at least for today.

I'll get 'er installed today as tomorrow the Ram will be towing my 440 Duster to my first Car Show of the year. Wanted to take the Viper, but it doesn't need "SELL" exposure. 500hp Duster for sale. 17mpg (imp) and an extra 250hp Nitrous System Rest-mod worth $32,000 and sale priced at $23,000 Cdn.
