Few basic noob questions

Very basic questions:
1. Is PCM and ECU the same thing?
2. Read a few warnings the vehicle must be returned back to the factory tune before starting to upload any tunes. How can I check if it is in fact in stock condition? I've never made any changes but the car was bought used so I cannot say if a previous owner did not mess around.
3. If it would need to be flashed back to stock, would the Predator be able to do it for me by downloading a file from the website or is it something the dealer would need to do for me?
4. Does the Predator need to be hooked up to the power supply in the car as well or just when it is connected to the computer?

3. If the Calibration needs to be updated, yes, the Predator can do it
4. No, its powered by the OBD-2 port.
