Dead Battery

This is going to sound like a silly question but maybe it's been asked before but I didn't find it in a search...

Now I'm not speaking of installing the Pred program on a dead or weak battery. My question is what happens to your program that has been installed for a long time when the car battery dies?

Do you lose the install?


I know that the OEM program on vehicles resets itself to a basic format if the battery is removed or if the cables have been removed for a short time.

The tune cannot leave the PCM, even if the battery dies.
