Predator U7191 not connecting to PC

hey Mike/Johan/06monteSS hows it going.
I posted on ls2gto forums regarding an issue with the predator not connecting with PC. so far i resolved the problem with the serial to usb connetion. i dont see the yellow "?" on device manager anymore. I did a fresh usb serial controller install and boot up... now back to my dillema. i downloaded the GM ls2 interfaceinstaller, once installed i re booted, so far so good. i powerd up the predator connected the Serial to USB, and open the interface installer. i follow the procedure, options, serial baud change,custom tune. export tune, original tune, the tuner goes into (processing 5%) and stays there. on the bottom of the GMinterfaceinstalerl i get a waiting for communication message. then 5 seconds later the predator reports (transfer failed).... i have tried com1,- com2, port setting 115200 on both com1,- com2,. forget about the serial to serial as soon as i connect the serial cable to the predator i get the dredded (transfer failed)screen of death... i am begining to think maybe this predator U7191 has a problem.. may need to talk to marrylandspeed regarding an exchange or refund.....JM.... ps 06/GTO-A4..

Hey mikel, hows it going..we spoke on the phone the other day regarding this issue.
But thanks to Perceverience!!!! I finally got the predator comunnicating with the PC.
I Uninstalled everything and anything that was associated with USB, diablosport.
And did a fresh boot. then i looked in the add remove program to confirm deletion.
Then to the device manager, looked for anything out of place, All good.
Then i installed everything back, and re booted for every application..... THANK`S for trying...WOOOOO!!!! HOOOO!!!!
Now i dont have to worry about sending anything back. The 93 tune is Awsome! sure would of hated to give it up..

Yes mike, i have a spice red goat. you cant miss it, it has a goat badge instead of the pontiac badge...lol....
at the rate were getting rain it might be a no show!
but it`s all good. my wife say`s i have become a data log "JUNKIE"....
cant help myself, i have been out on US 27, 8 times since sunday DATA LOGING the GOAT..."lol".....

Hey MONTE hows it going, I took your tuning class "101" and was doing good.
My ltft were kind of high -6.250/-6.250 bank 1/ bank2/sensor 1-2.
i went possitive on the injector slope 5% and it got me into the 0.7838 both banks.thats the way it shows on the dataviewer.i went positive on the PE 5% but i started to get some knock retard. its been raining bad around here specialy when i make my runs. LATE at night. lol...so i have not been able to go out and make a run, and log.
we have a verry loooong strech of interstate with a speed limit of 65 mph.
and at 1:00 am there is nothing but "bugs" out. soon i will send you something.
Man i am having a blast with this new toy. i am a disabled american vet, gulf war, operation desert storm.
i got all the time in the world, thats why i could go out at all times of the night to play. "LMAO"....

if you had to go +5% on injector slope - which means you leaned it out... and you're still getting KR at WOT, then set both PE ranges to +8% for starters, and we'll go from there.

if you went +5% on slope, and left the PE settings alone, did you get any KR? or did you only get KR AFTER you set the PE ranges to +5%??
