Only vehicle options coming up in the menu are:

Superduty
Excursion

Am i missing something? We are trying to install on 1999 F150.

The u7153 will work on a 99 F150... no need to worry

It is on the vehicle selection list. That is all that is coming up is those two options. Do we select one of those or what is the next thing to do?

U7153 is for gas, I am confused...

On the programmer screen itself. I already have the U7153 and am going to download the tune to the vehicle!

Not following why you are looking it up on the web if you already have the tool?

If it is going in a 99 F150 V8 gas, you are good to go.

I AM NOT LOOKING ON THE WEB! I am looking at the tuner. When it first boots up it says Ford Superduty / Excursion.
This is a brand new U7153 out of the box and the sticker on the tuner says U7153.

Sounds like that tool is mislabeled, what is the revision it displays on the top line of the main menu?
Sounds like you somehow got a U7152 or U7170?
Also, as it powers up, it shows a bootloader that says "booting _____", what does it say there?

Yep, this is for the 7.3L Ford. V 7r19d

Is it possible to convert this to a U7153? I am actually the dealer that sold this tuner.
I have another post running in the Dodge Diesel Forum regarding some codes. Could you help me out on that one too?

OK, no, thats an OLD U7170....not sure what to do with that....

Cant be converted though.
