Hard shifting
Hard shifting
I recently changed gears in my 1999 Corvette C5 automatic from 2.73 to 3.42. Using my U7198 2.13 I made changes to MPH and the gear change to 3.42. It was shifting fine and I thought everything was ok but I drove it on the freeway and when I exited stopped at the red light. When I left the light driving normally it shifted hard into second gear. It kept shifting hard and I arrived home and parked the car. The next day I drove it again and it shifted fine in town driving normally. I took it on the freeway and everything seemed ok. When I exited the freeway it started shifting hard again. Can someone offer some assistance. Have a Haltech stinger and magnaflow exhaust.

RE: Hard shifting
Sounds like a possible issue with the gear set?
The shifting should not change.

RE: Hard shifting
I will go back through it and check the settings and also check for any codes. Maybe a slip code P1870??
RE: Hard shifting
Checked it and found a P1870 code. Cleared the code anything I can do to prevent this. Some additional adjustments??

Reset , made adjustments and installed tune once again. Drove about 50 miles, in town and on the freeway. So far no problems.

RE: update
It was used to a certain rpm and temp, that changed. Use your predator to monitor the temps.
How old is the tranny fluid. Maybe time for a flush and fill W/filter.
