Anyone had Issue with predator just "Dropping" the tune?
I got stuck in heavy traffic the other day, came up to light, light turned green, car stalled and would not start. Came home on wrecker, then reinstalled tune and car seems to run ok, but I don't trust it now.
Predator dropped tune in traffic!

RE: Predator dropped tune in traffic!
There is likely another issue with the car and just by coincidence it started after a reflash. The PCM can't "drop the tune" out of nowhere, be reflashed by the Predator and start again. Did you check for codes and do a quick checkover on the car after it stalled? Fuel pressure? Spark? Maybe a voltage issue? Aftermarket electronics? I would have someone look at it if it happens again...

I always keep my Predator in the car. It's not that big and if I get somewhere and need the car taken to a dealer I can reflash it before they tow it. If you keep it with you you could always do a reflash BUT like the kmac1 said "it's probably something else"
Maybe in spark or fuel supply.

The car is going to the Dyno on Monday, The Tuner there said the same thing, he things there is an electrical issue. I just thought it was odd that the car would not run at all until I reinstalled the tune. Hoping its not going to be an expensive issue. Car surges a little at Idle now. I'll keep you all posted on results.
Again.....What tune do you have installed on this vehicle. In your other thread you said you have a 05 GT with a Procharger. Go to options/show last tune written. If you don't have a tune installed on this vehicle for the addition of a supercharger it will not run correctly and will need a custom tune from one of our CMR dealers.

It had a tune on it, I updated the firmware and now I can't find the tune that was there. I am using one of the 93 octane tunes so I can at least get it to the shop. The Vehicle was tuned at Goodies speed shop in San Jose California. I am going to try to contact them to see if the still have the tune on file.

05 GT 4.6/3V PROGRAM PROBLEM??
I just had a very similar problem as Nachtfalter did, I have a 2005 GT 4.6/3V with an HO Procharger unit on it, Ford GT fuel pumps and Competition Cams NSR cams. It was tuned at McNews Automotive in PA. The car did 470 rwhp with an automatic! Everything was working fine, I brought the car home and was running it some up and down our lane here, we live in the country, as it was "learning" air/fuel adjustments when starting and stopping with the auto trans. McNews wrote the entire program. I started the car every day for the past few days with no problems and then today (Friday 07-03) when I tried to start the car the only way it would start was to hold the throttle wide open, it acts like a flooded carb car, and was running very rich, black smoke, etc., and would not run right. The tuner shoiwed an OBD not complete error code and an unknown code?? This may seem like a silly question but the battery seems a little suspect, is there any way this could contribute to the problem? Also, I washed the car the evening before, didn't spray the engine directly but did hose dust and dirt off of intercooler, around edges, etc., could this contribute to a problem? I started the car after the wash without any problems. I am going to try McNews on Saturday but more than likely they will be closed for holiday and will speak to them on Monday. They are a very good CMR and i am very pleased with their work. Saw the post above and thought I would run my problem by you guys and see if you have any suggestions! Thank you!

Don't get water near the mafia if you have one. They do not like it. Keep your battery fully charged all the time. Your car might be a bit rich on cold start and low voltage will only make it worse...
