Speedometer is not accurate

Post by eloney1 »

Part# U7153, Revision 9r03, 2001 Ford F150 4.6L

Here is the problem, I have had this programmer for four years and it has worked great till I updated to the 9r03 revision. Now the speedometer is showing about ten miles an hour to fast with the new revision what should I do? I can`t get the July-24-2004 revision that was on it when I bought it to try it again, so I am stuck with a truck that is stacking miles quickly and the possibility of getting a ticket from not knowing my accurate speed. Thanks for the help.

Try changing the tire revs per mile to the correct setting for your tires.

No I haven,t figured it out yet, I have 315/70/17 tires on the truck and I set the revs on the programmer to 587 but it is not changing it to the proper speed

On this thread....... Is it more accurate to program the tire size or the axle ratio if you are running stock size tires?
