U8000, 2005 Mustang, Confused!

I have a 2005 Mustang GT, and DID have a C&L CAI and Custom tune from a vendor installed.

I had to revert to stock to pass an emisions test.

Now I went to re-install, but the custom tunes that the vendor included are no longer on the tuner.

The vendor sent me the tunes, so I went to the downloads section here to download the software, but when I select 2005 Mustang GT, U8000 is not the tuner that the software is for. In fact, I can't find anywhere on Diablosport to download the U8000 software.

I am trying to get help from the vendor, but for some reason he is blowing me oiff.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

that's because you actually have a U7140 for that 05 mustang... the U8000 is a "blank" predator that the vendor then programs with specific software to be any model predator he needs it to be, for whatever vehicle...

so, since you have an 05 Mustang GT, the vendor programmed that blank predator to be a U7140 - and the downloads page for that model can be found here: http://diablosport.com/index.php?module ... lay&pid=11

06MonteSS is correct. The u8000 is a tuner series tool. It is sent to the CMR dealers as a blank tool. At this point they can flash onto the tool whatever vehicle is supported in the ford family.

Thanks! I did a little digging and found the answer elsewhere in the forum, but didn't get back here in time to say never mind. Leason learned, I will do more searching before posting a question.
