well im a little late to the party, with another reply. but my only guess to the nitrogen hype. is that it gives something for contaminants to bond to. creating NOx. which could be better for your engine, but harder on your catalytic converters. but like i said, its simply an educated guess on my part.

Just because you see the same company name on the gas truck that fills the ground tanks at your favorite gas station doesn't necessarily mean that is the actual brand of gasoline you are getting at the pump. I used to work for the corporate office of a well known brand of gas a few years back and found out while there that oil companies don't necessarily have a terminal in all parts of the country where they sell gasoline and to fix this shortcoming they have agreements with other brand name oil companies to use their terminal to load their trucks in those areas... basically they trade off and help each other cover the others gaps in gasoline terminal coverage around the country. Food for thought. Of course if you have logged and have good results from your favorite gas stations fuel then whereever it comes from is consistent from load to load and shouldn't be an issue.
YMMV(literally and figuratively)

I use Chevon 91 out here on the left coast. It seems to work pretty well.

Using Exxon 93 here in Houston, seems OK. Wish I could get it w/o 10% ethanol.
