1/8 mile racing
2007 SRT-8 with the 85 mm throttle body. Should I go back to the stock throttle body for the 1/8 mile or stay with the 85mm? I was wandering if the bigger one would hurt my starts off the line. In the 1/8 I'm just hitting second gear.

Size of TB should not worsen your performance at all, well if it is smaller it will but thats not your case.

Ok. I've located a local guy that races and has some some experince and tuning with the diablo. I beleive he will be able to sort out what ever is going on with my car. After talking with him lots of bells and whistle started going off. So in the next week I'll be getting it together.

Tomarrow is the 4th of July race here and I'll be racing against my dad in his SRT-8 Challanger. He has put the 3.55 gears in it. is running a CAI w/ the r17 tune. As of now I don't think my chances are very good. I'll let everyone know how they stack up.

I can tell you that my '09 SuperBee with the Diablo tune (regardless of revision r13 to r18) is extremely lazy getting going (feels like moving through mud). Guys around here who are running older tunes on the 06's, 07's, and 08's are about half a second quicker and between 4 to 6 mph faster in the quarter mile. These are all relatively stock SRT8's with CAI, exhaust, thermostat (180 or 170) and Diablo tune on the same track up here in Calgary.
