Here is the copy (also wondering about setting all of the up/down shift points in the A6)
Hi Mike,
I have an 07 vtte (A6) that I recently purchased (4 weks ago)
I got your predator as I loved it on my '00 (manual)
I have also pushed your product hard to the C5 A4 guys as I assist them in tuning with their units.
One thing I loved about the tuning with the C5 predator was tha ability to to set all of the shift points for the auto. This doesn't seem to be the case with the U194.
Also the fan (singular in the U194) case only accepts input at 192 and above.. WHen I installed the 160 stat in the old car (2000 C5), I was able to have fan control come on whenever. Now 192 is the minimum. I wouldn't mind being able to set it at 10% at 178 for example, all the way up to 80% or so at 195 or so. (I never had my C5 run over 180-190, nor do I on my custom C3 Wideband EFI vette with a FAST controller)
Another item I see missing is the rear end ratio. I am thinking of going woth a DTE 3:15 rear ratio. Does this mean I have to have someone "always" reprogram for me as oppoosed to doing it myself in the unit?
I was a little disappointed in the missing parameters for the C6 predator... Don't get me wrong, it is running great.. better than stock (also added Blackwing, 160 stat, Borla stingers. Bilsteins, Phadt bars, etc.. soon long tube headers, ) but the abilty to modify on the fly would be nice.
I really push the heck out of your product for he C5 guys in ourt club. think in the last month I have pushed at east 3 people into it and assisted them in setting it up, so I am not giving up, as I assume you may already be working on these things (I discount the 2005's as they were really A4's) and it is not easy to crack GM's codes.
Is TM going to be able to get elimnated?
I love the paddle shifters as well. A little slow, but they seemed to be picking up speed since I boosted the Rev limit by 350 (why, I don't know, should have nothing to do with it realy if the rev limit is just engine rpm.)
You also mentioned in a post or on your forum that single license CMR's may be available sometimne int he future. Would this be very much like the F.A.S.T. controllers for aftermarket EFI engines.
Any info would be great as I would like to do an article in the next few months (after my C1 Resto-Mod article) on performance runing for the C6's. These articles are for our club members only (I already wrote up your praises for the C5 programmer!!)
Thanks in advance for the answers. I will also post this on your Diablo Sport Forum.
