predator RKL stacker tunes

Post by dieselram_04 »

hey anyone else having issues with the predator RKL stacker tunes causing bad rattle at 1500 rpms when cold? issue goes away once temps hit 150. runs great once its warmed up. tried both stacker tunes full timing and less timing. only other fueling mods are GDP 392 and edge juice with attitude but i can turn the juice to stock or all the way up and it netiher helps or makes it worse. any ideas?

sorry its a glacier diesel lift pump when it starts rattling and you give it more gas it starts popping and sputtering like its running out of fuel.

It's giving you some timing advance right off the bat and that combined with the engine being cold will cause that rattle. Just go easy on it until it warms up. No big deal. I had the same issue with a Quadzilla Race box on my 03 CTD....

In my opinion you should not be in the throttle enough to hear the "cold knock". I let my truck completely warm up EVERY time it starts. Think about this, i have been well over 600hp for almost 75k miles when it melted a piston last month. I drive it like its yours............. LOL BUT, EVERYTIME i start my day or if it has sat enough to cool to ambient i let it idle at 1100rpm for around 3-5 min. I would like to believe that helped me see the mileage i saw at that power level. Treat her right and she will be nice to your pocketbook.........

i do let it sit and idle for about 3 mins and when i do get in it and take off i drive it like theres a egg on the accelarator. no matter how light i push the throttle i still get a rattle and my valvebody is set up to shift right at 1500 at VERY light throttle which is where the rattle starts.

I'd try pulling the Juice completely off and see how it does....

Mine does the same thing on the rkl tune, it does run great when warmed up though.
