09 yukon xl 5.3L six speed tranny newb install

I just bought my friend's U7194 predator and successfully updated it from V.8r06
to the new v.9r07 crom and will be flashing my 09 YUKON XL..

I got a couple of newbie questions:

1. Do I really need to pull the fuses? Im having problem disabling Onstar...
Im thinking just turn DRL off and keep your doors closed would be good
enough.

2. ANy underlying problems or bugs with diablo 87 tunes for my truck year/mode/six speed tranny? This is a new truck with 1200 miles on it. Dont want to screw it up..

Any tips for successful and easy install would be great. Im very weary on screwing up my ECM.

keep your doors closed, put on the parking break... and there should be just a single fuse for onstar to pull... also, if you have any aftermarket electronics installed, you will need to completely disable those as well - such as aftermarket stereos, satellite radio, car alarms, remote starters, trailer brakes/lights, etc etc...

other than that, you should be good to go...

that singel fuse is on the inside of the dash at the drivers side if its the same as in my avalanche. if i recall correct its fuse 22 INFO. You should have the right one if the right light on the rear view mirror turns red of off. be sure to turn the airco off also. the best is to pull the window down before you close the door so you can always go out or anything during the writing if something happens. Also dont let any one sit at the passenger side. Since the airbag locator may be pulling some load from the batterie.

Also turn the light to off instead of auto so you dont have any problems with that.

And tips for succesfull install i would recommand pulling the fuses in the engine bay aswell just to be sure. It takes 2 min and you know for sure.

Just flashed it with the 87 tune. Seems more responsive and the shifts are quicker. See if I can save some real time MPGs.. I travel 80miles(roundtrip) a day to work..
