new tune

Post by srt927 »

u7134,v9r17 revision for 2004 srt-4 neon. 93 tune never worked well for car so ive been tryin to get custom tune that hasnt worked well either am really gettin disapointed with the experience was wondering if i could get something done through here. I'm nearly stock stg 1 ecu aem intake 3" exhaust and downpipe, sts. Custom tune bogs down around 3k rpm like its building up pressure and cant release it you can feel it in the car only does it that i can notice in 3rd and 4th thought. I've posted original tune with log and custom tunes log let me know if anything can be done thanks

Much sympathy here,

I too am having bogging down on launch. We have to remember that every car is unique, and sometimes it takes a bit of work to find out what a particular vehicle likes, especially when it's modded. It's a complicated process sometimes. We just need to realize that sometimes it takes a while to satisfy her, much like a woman.

i have the same problem, i bought my predator from dsp about 8 month ago, Never had the perf 93 tune work well.

Modif, Stage 1 pcm, Stage 2 w-g, cai, Downpipe, o2 housing, 255 lph fuel pump, aem Wideband, dsp.

Anything over 2500 rpm is not bad, Under 2500, i have random lean-Rich Cut, Strumble, (16.5 to 17 afr when its cut), My plug are damn white. Dsp should take a look before srt-4 engine domage By Running lean. Wot im 10.1 to 10.5 afr peaking 19 holding 15 psi.... 3 knock max. i Hope rich like that lol.

Problem are more in part crousing.

Btw srt927, I have the same 04510055ae rev than u, That could be a common problem .... Wellever i know that my Fuel trim are weird.

I Just had my injector clean , and Fuel pressure at 60 psi... so Look nice. But i dont know +25 -25 Fuel stft Look Bad .... If i reset the pcm , everything is nice for a couple de mile. O2 Sensor Changed 2 time. Im Lost ....

From what I see guys, aftermarket WGs will always be tough to dial in, and you need some custom tuning from someone familiar with how to make it work.

The Predator 93 tune ONLY changes WOT fuel and boost. It does NOT change anything to do with part throttle fuel/timing.

If your having part throttle issues(TPS under 2.8V), it has nothing to do with the Predator tune. There have been many SRT owners using the 93tune that have never reported issues like yours.

Restore your orignal back up and your issues will continue.

There shouldn't be any issues with the 93tune with such a stock car unless your having other problems.

I'm getting "critical error" when downloading your logs. (stupid site)
Post them here http://depositfiles.com/en/files/xlmaeqlpa
then post the link.

Also posting your issues here will get you plenty of good advice

Hum.... tps sensor Duster360, that is maybe my problem. I read about it. But never got rpm on idle variation, even while playing with wires, In datalog, im idle at 0.7059 volt , Crousing around 2v. Wot is around 3.76 v i think...

stft -25 to +28 % ??? it can be related ?

The TPS looks normal as long as there was no time during that log that you were actually WOT.

To test TPS wiring, turn the KEY ON but leave ENGINE OFF. Observe the TPS voltage while jiggle/wiggleing the wiring. It should remain fairly constant. TPS voltage should also smoothly increase as the throttle body opens.

The high STFT was not abnormal at the points it had registered.
High LTFT has a greater effect on drivability.

Id reflash the stock tune to eliminate any perception that the DS is the problem

I have the same issues as you and our graphs look very similar! Did you notice on your graph at 41/2 mins you had 5200rpm w/0 knock look at your afr 12.9 the other ones your afr's were 11.7ish and 6* of knock. Did your wideband say you were lean?? I don't have one and WILL BE getting one soon. Duster helped me out as did others the DSP doesn't read AFR's as well as the wideband. SO I need to make sure I"m not lean before I start messing with settings and timing.

refer to you custom tune for part throttle table, or VE table part throttle fuel, it makes all the difference cuz some of us don't drive at wot all the time :)
