Here's the latest:

I got the radio back working without the tune on it. But when I removed the fuses and tuned it, removed the battery (which did fix it when it was un-tuned), reconnected it after a few minutes then cranked it up, there was no radio. :(

So now the vehicle IS tuned, and the radio isn't burnt up or anything, cause it does work on the un-tuned vehicle. The aftermarket radio add-ons work (iPod connection w/charge and aftermarket amp powered on), but the radio itself doesn't...

The fuses I removed was the RADIO and RADIO AMP fuses. Would taking it to the car stereo place be a good option?

Yeah, and I verified them with the diagram just to make sure.

Thanks!

Man, that is weird. It really sounds like you have some wiring issues with your sound system though.

IT's my understanding that the Terk Sat kits are passive, which means they need no active power-source.

Don't they just plug in-line to the radio harness? That's how the Ford kits were anyway.

If that is the case, that explains the ability not to worry about it.

I agree....

Did you install the aftermarket stuff yourself, or did a shop?

I have seen unbelievable electrical installs from so-called "good" shops. On newer vehicles, the electrical systems can be very intricate, and ya gotta be very careful with how things are installed.

A well known local shop did it for me. So I guess I'll take it over to them, but should I leave the tune on it?

I think I want to try the cycle again and remove all those fuses and all that just to try it again.

This may be stupid but did you check the dimmer switch for the dash lights. I was putting freon in my dads truck and when we started it up to finish the charge the radio was playing but did not have a display. Turned out to be the dimmer switch.

No, the radio isn't playing and has no power at all. I'm gonna try to disconnect the battery and pull those fuses again just for the heck of it.

What he said^^^^

It would explain why the radio backlight is on but the radio isn't. I am pretty sure the backlight is on a different fuse than the radio itself.

Here's the latest! It's back to stock and everything's working normal!

I took the truck out to the stereo place and they checked everything out, and everything looks perfect on their end. They have also done several installs with the same factory radio (with the same addons that I have) with HyperTech programmers and this doesn't happen. No fuse-pulling required. I don't get what the Predator is doing screwing with the radio's settings anyways?

Diablo is the real problem here. The "update" should fix this whole issue according to them. I'm even tempted to sell it because of all the headaches. This was supposed to be a good purchase, and as of now it's a waste of my time and money.

The Predator also gave me horrible mileage. I'm talking 10.6 MPG (Diablo) vs 14.8 (Stock).

Sounds like to me that your truck is messed up. You shouldn't see that kind of mileage drop. I do think it is funny how you are the ONLY one that is having so many problems with your predator. Sure there are a few glitches here and there, but this one takes the cake.

I guess I'm just hexed or something... Is there anything else I can do before they release the update?

Have you tried just changing the fuses out completely for the radio and amp?
It is a factory radio right?
How did they tie in the aftermarket components?
Exactly what components are you running?
Is your amp mounted where you can easily access it?
When you pull fuses, are you pulling the in line fuse from the amp as well or are you just pulling the fuses from the dash?

Something isn't right for sure. I am not saying it isn't the Predator, but the likelyhood is fairly slim. Don't take offense to any of my questions that I ask bud. Some of them I have to ask in order to trouble shoot this thing. I am really thinking you have a wiring issue, but I am not totally convinced on that yet.

Have you tried just changing the fuses out completely for the radio and amp? No
It is a factory radio right? Yes
How did they tie in the aftermarket components? Through the XM Interface
Exactly what components are you running? PAC uPAC-GMC2 and a PAC AMP Addon Kit (I don't know the model)
Is your amp mounted where you can easily access it? Yes!
When you pull fuses, are you pulling the in line fuse from the amp as well or are you just pulling the fuses from the dash? In-Line fuse pulled as well. [/b]

If it tis into the XMinterface, and that is tied into the stock harness, well, it could well be the problem.
